When people ask us what the name "Samsahra" means, you will likely get five different answers. The word originates from the buddhist term samsara, and is defined as "The eternal cycle of birth, suffering, death, and rebirth." Many of us have heard the name "Nirvana", which is the ultimate stage of enlightenment. Samsahra represents the trials and tribulations of real life, which we strive to overcome, in order reach that level of "enlightenment".
Music is our love, our passion, and our salvation. Samsahra is a Five piece metal band, hailing from Minneapolis, MN. We've come with our own brand of metal. Mixing elements of rock, hardcore, nu metal, hip hop, jazz and just about everything imaginable - Samsahra is a sound that is unlike anything around. While playing the Minneapolis and surrounding markets for the last few years, Samsahra has built a strong following of passionate and dedicated fans, and has earned the opportunity to share the stage with some amazing bands. Such as Static-X, Nonpoint, Nothingface, American Head Charge, In this Moment, Dope, Rikets, Dry Kill Logic, Ankla, Silent Civilian, Bobflex, and many more.
